Build for the Future
Build for the Future
Go big or go home. Build higher. Think smarter. Deliver together.
Ready for a hands‑on team‑building activity that blends creativity, planning, and real collaboration? In the Twin‑Tower Brick Build Challenge, your team will design and construct two matching towers connected by multiple walkways, using only the bricks provided—and by the end, every single brick must be part of the build.
This is a high‑energy, problem‑solving experience built to strengthen how teams plan, communicate, and execute under time pressure—then present their thinking with confidence. Tower‑building challenges are widely used to highlight collaboration and communication in a fun, practical way
What you’ll build (the challenge brief)
Using the bricks supplied, your team must create:
At least two towers that are exactly the same height
Towers linked by at least four walkways
A build that is a minimum of 1 metre high
Towers constructed in 4 clear, defined sections (and clearly marked)
A company slogan / strapline spelled down at least one side of one tower
A final structure that uses every brick provided
How it works (format & timings)
1) Plan & design
You’ll have 30 minutes to plan and design your build. Create a clear strategy, assign roles, and decide how you’ll deliver the required sections and walkways.
2) Build
Construct the towers using only the bricks provided, ensuring:
Both towers remain the same height
All 4 sections are clearly identifiable and labelled
At least 4 walkways connect the towers
Your slogan is clearly spelled down one side
No bricks left behind—everything must be used
3) Present
At the end, your team delivers a short presentation explaining:
Your design choices
How your 4 sections work together
How you achieved stability, symmetry, and connectivity
What your slogan means—and why it fits your team/company
The “4 Sections” framework (make it clear, make it meaningful)
To help teams create four distinct build stages that are easy to explain, use this simple, presentation‑friendly structure. (You can name your sections differently—just keep the logic and boundaries clear.)
Section 1: Foundation
Purpose: stability, alignment, and shared standards
What it shows: how your team builds strong basics before scaling
Brick cues: wider base, reinforced corners, repeatable pattern
Section 2: Growth
Purpose: speed + control as height increases
What it shows: smart scaling, role clarity, and efficient execution
Brick cues: consistent stacking system, mirrored structure between towers
Section 3: Connection
Purpose: collaboration across workstreams
What it shows: how different parts of the team link up to deliver outcomes
Brick cues: the walkways live here—minimum of four, visibly intentional
Section 4: Signature / Impact
Purpose: identity, ambition, and finishing quality
What it shows: how your team lands the work—cleanly, confidently, and on brand
Brick cues: the slogan placement, visual flourish, top detailing

What this develops (why it works)
This challenge is designed to sharpen the skills teams use every day:
Planning under pressure (design first, then execute)
Clear communication (especially when adjusting mid‑build)
Collaboration and coordination across sub‑tasks (towers + walkways + slogan)
Decision‑making and role ownership (builder, designer, checker, spokesperson)
Creative problem‑solving with limited resources—classic tower‑build learning outcomes [teampedia.net], [lego.com]
Slogan ideas (fast inspiration)
Need a strapline that looks great in bricks and reads well vertically? Short, punchy lines work best. Team‑slogan lists often recommend snappy, memorable phrases that reinforce unity. [teambuilding.com]
Here are adaptable examples:
ONE TEAM
BUILD BOLD
BETTER TOGETHER
CREATE MORE
TRUST & DELIVER
MAKE IT HAPPEN
UNITED WE RISE
TEAMWORK WINS
Pro tip: Choose a slogan with 8–14 characters (including spaces) for a clean vertical read.
FAQ
How many people per team?
This works best in small groups where everyone can contribute—typically 4–8 per team (enough hands to build, check, and present).
What if a tower collapses?
That’s part of the challenge. Strong teams adapt quickly—rebuild, reinforce, and learn. (And remember: both towers must end the same height.)
Do the walkways have to be identical?
Not necessarily—but they must be at least four, clearly visible, and actually link the two towers.
Can we use anything besides the bricks?
No—only the bricks provided can be used in the structure.
What should our presentation include?
Explain your 4 sections, your design logic, and how you ensured symmetry, stability, and connectivity—then finish with the meaning behind your slogan.
